Automation.
Innovative technology for smart processes
From analysis to robot and PLC programming: we create smart automation solutions that reliably advance your production.
Automation is not an end in itself. We always start with a detailed analysis of your production—much like in the field of production optimization. The difference is that here we specifically examine which processes are suitable for automation, where robots can be used economically, and what return on investment you can expect.
Our transfer systems turn any conventional press into a fully-fledged transfer press, regardless of type, manufacturer, or year of manufacture. This opens up new possibilities in punching and forming technology and increases the efficiency of your production.
Parts that were previously manufactured manually can now be automated. Complex components that cannot be produced in a progressive die can be manufactured efficiently using transfer molding. We also retrofit existing systems so that no expensive new purchases are necessary.
The result: higher output, reduced material costs, less waste, and maximum flexibility in the forming process.
We develop robotic solutions for specific tasks in your production process. Käfer focuses on handling tasks—in particular, machine loading, either individually or in interlinked production processes. Our systems take care of loading and unloading, parts handling, and transfers between stations. This ensures stable cycles, shorter throughput times, and a noticeable reduction in the workload for your employees.
Welding is another important application. In cooperation with partners such as KUKA and FRONIUS, we implement flexible welding applications that are precisely tailored to the requirements of medium-sized companies. Our cell concepts are CE-compliant, user-friendly, and scalable. They deliver consistent seam quality, reduce rework, and increase production speed.
We also consider quality assurance: we integrate camera and laser systems directly into the production process. Components are checked inline, errors are detected in real time, and defective parts are reliably ejected – for greater process reliability, less waste, and audits that are convincing.
To ensure that the technology runs smoothly, we also develop the appropriate electrical engineering and programming in-house. We take care of switch cabinet construction (e.g., with EPLAN), program PLCs and robot controllers (Siemens, KUKA, FANUC), integrate visualizations (WinCC), and take care of safety controllers.
This means you are independent of third-party companies, can implement changes flexibly, and enjoy full transparency. We support commissioning, train your employees, and are available for maintenance and optimization.
